The SPERAS EST UV is a tactical torch combining a powerful white light with a separate UV light source with a wavelength of 365 nm. The main LED offers a maximum light output of 2,300 lumens and a beam distance of up to 480 metres, whilst the UV light, with an output of 1.35 W is designed for inspecting fluorescent materials, verifying protective elements, detecting leaks and other inspection tasks.
The UV light source is fitted with a black optical filter, which limits the passage of visible light and enhances the fluorescence of illuminated materials. This makes the surface being inspected easier to read and less affected by unwanted light.
Two power settings and a strobe mode are available for general lighting. The main mode provides 2,300 lm with a beam range of 480 m, whilst the economy mode with an output of 10 lm extends the operating time to up to 157 hours. The standalone UV mode offers a runtime of approximately 5.1 hours.
The torch is made from 6061 aerospace-grade aluminium with Type III hard anodising. The construction meets the IP68 rating and can withstand submersion to a depth of up to 2 metres. It is drop-resistant from a height of 1.5 metres. The front is protected by tempered glass with a double-sided anti-reflective coating.
Power is supplied by a single 18650 battery with a capacity of 3,100 mAh; alternatively, two CR123A batteries may be used. The integrated USB-C connector allows charging directly in the torch, with a full charge taking approximately 4 hours. The side switch is complemented by a power status indicator.
