The RIG abseil device is designed to meet the needs of experienced rope access workers who spend their days suspended from a rope. This compact and easy-to-use abseil device is fitted with an ergonomic handle that provides excellent control over the descent, making your working day easier. The AUTO-LOCK function allows for easy securing at the workstation without the need for manual operation. The cam has enhanced durability and its shape reduces wear and tear. For intensive use and demanding working conditions, or simply as a long-term solution, the RIG is also available in a repairable version – the RIG REPAIRABLE.

The device is designed for experienced users working in rope access and technical rescue.

Easy to use:

• Pictograms on the product and guide surfaces make rope installation easier and quicker
• The ergonomic handle provides a secure grip and excellent control during descent
• The movable side panel can be opened even when the device is attached to a harness, making it easier to pass through intermediate anchor points
• The AUTO-LOCK system allows for easy securing at the workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie a securing knot
• The handle automatically switches to the storage position when the rope is removed from the device, reducing the risk of accidental snagging whilst being carried on the harness

Versatility:

• Two abseiling options: with the rope routed alongside the sidewall, or through a V-shaped friction channel at the front, which provides better control during abseiling and helps prevent the rope from kinking over an edge
• Can be used attached to a harness or at an anchor point
• Once the rope is locked in place, short ascents can be made without manipulating the handle, simply by feeding out or pulling in the rope
• Can be used to belay the lead climber using climbing techniques

Durable and repairable:

• Reinforced protection on the sidewall; the rope friction zone is reinforced with a stainless steel plate, which reduces wear on the sidewall
• The cam shape improves rope grip and reduces wear on the device
• For a longer service life, or for intensive use and demanding working conditions, a repairable version, the RIG REPAIRABLE (D021BA00 / D021BA01), is available; using a repair kit, it is possible to replace the worn cam and pin (sold separately, D021CA00)
