420HC Steel 420HC - a variant with a higher carbon content than 420J2 steel (AISI420). It's a line between 440C and 1050C steel. Corrosion resistance in personal experiences were not as excellent as the steel 420J2. Overall 420HC steel evaluated as medium-carbon martensitic steel with corrosion resistance as Sandvik (12C27), but with lower hardness and wear resistance than 12C27.
