Bear spray DEFENDER 250 ml with pouch
The high-quality and effective Defender bear defence spray has been designed for immediate defence against attacks by bears or other wild animals. The nozzle releases a concentrated irritant up to 10 metres away, allowing the canister to be used from a safe distance. Thanks to the nozzle’s wide spray pattern, the spray will hit the bear even if you have never used pepper spray before.
This defensive spray works immediately. Upon being hit, the animal immediately experiences a loss of coordination, loses awareness of its surroundings and is unable to attack due to severe burning of the eyes and respiratory tract. All symptoms are temporary and last for approximately 45 minutes. Thanks to the intensity of the spray, there is sufficient time to escape from the bear. The bear suffers no lasting effects.
With a volume of 250ml and containing oleoresin capsicum, dibenzoxazepine, benzylidenemalononitrile and capsaicin (OC, CR, CP, CS), it is the perfect defence against attacks by bears or other wild animals. Pepper sprays are non-toxic, environmentally friendly and available without a licence. Animals hit by pepper spray suffer no lasting effects, only temporary symptoms designed to make them flee.
Instructions for use in the event of a bear attack:
- If you encounter a bear, stay calm, do not run and do not turn your back.
- Grip the spray firmly, remove the safety cap and hold it in front of you.
- Aim the spray at the animal’s face and apply in bursts lasting approximately 1 second.
- The spray’s range of 6 to 10 metres creates a safe distance; take wind direction and strength into account.
- Once you have hit the bear, move away slowly without turning your back.

FIRST AID:
- If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
- If on skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Do not use creams, ointments or oils.
- In the event of an accident involving inhalation, move the affected person to fresh air and keep them at rest.
- If symptoms persist after 1 hour, seek medical attention immediately.
