ESP button Baton 41cm/16" Round end, Ergonomic Handle with holster
You can open this baton with a flick of the handle into open space, or by
pulling the tip to extend the telescopic tubes. The locking mechanism
secures the tubes firmly in the open position.
The best feature of this baton is its closing mechanism. By pressing the
button at the end of the handle and gently pushing the tip, the locking
mechanism is released. The tubes can then be easily retracted into the
handle. It doesn’t matter how forcefully you open the baton – it can
always be closed comfortably and effortlessly. You also don’t need to look
for a hard and solid surface, which is necessary for closing a
friction-lock telescopic baton.
The baton can only be closed using the button at the end of the handle.
Striking it against a surface will not close it – in fact, it may cause
damage.
During drop tests, the baton fell from a height of 2 meters onto concrete
(the German directive requires wood, which is a softer surface), and it
could still be closed without any issue. The baton was opened and closed
6,000 times, and the locking mechanism continued to function. The quality
of the locking system was also proven by repeated drops into mud.
Because the end cap of the baton contains a button, no accessories can be
screwed onto the handle end. Therefore, it can only be equipped with
BMO-02 and BMO-03 inspection mirrors. Other accessories simply cannot be
attached.
