Self-preservation bag, primarily used as a quick shelter in case of bad weather. More info
Self-preservation bag, serves primarily as a quick shelter in bad weather.
In Bohemia, the term Žďárský sack was coined for this piece of equipment, after its inventor, the famous Austro-Hungarian skier Matthias Žďárský. Compared to the bivvy bag, the SURVIVAL BAG is constructed of a much lighter material, which makes it a lighter and more packable item to pack and predestines its use mainly in emergency situations.
The SURVIVAL BAG is ready to be used as a sleeping bag cover for overnight lying down, but also for surviving bad weather, for example sitting down, with everything the user is wearing at the time, including shoes and belongings that also need to be protected.
