The DURAL 2013 piston head from AirsoftParts is a durable, CNC-machined head made from EN AW 6012 T6 duralumin. Designed for V2, V3 and V7 mechboxes with springs up to M170. It features a pressure seal via 9 front holes, a guide O-ring for centring within the cylinder, and an axial ball bearing for freer rotation of the spring during compression.
DURAL 2013 is a CNC-machined component for AEG airsoft guns, manufactured from EN AW 6012 T6 duralumin and finished with a chemical nickel plating. In addition to the main sealing O-ring, the design also utilises a guide O-ring, which helps to centre the piston head within the cylinder and reduces the risk of the metal head coming into contact with the cylinder wall. Nine holes on the front face channel air beneath the sealing O-ring during compression; the pressure causes the O-ring to expand against the cylinder wall, ensuring an effective seal. The design also incorporates an axial ball bearing, which allows the spring to rotate more freely when compressed and reduces torsional stress on it. The rear section of the head is lightweighted to reduce the moving mass of the assembly. The manufacturer specifies use with springs up to M170 and compatibility with V2, V3 and V7 mechaboxes. The piston head is manufactured in the Czech Republic.
