The scissor-type barrier is an effective measure for preventing traffic or vehicle access. A sturdy scissor-type grid with bolted spikes. More info
With a total length of 6 metres, this roadblock is an essential specialised tool for traffic accident investigation units, riot police and traffic enforcement units.
It is designed to quickly and effectively block the carriageway and create a security perimeter in emergency situations. When a vehicle’s tyres roll over the barrier, the sharp triangular spikes embedded in the structure pierce the tyre. As the tyre rotates forwards due to inertia, the spikes are driven deep into the tyre – up to a depth of 5 centimetres – and release air from it at a rate of ≥15 litres per spike, thereby bringing the vehicle to a standstill.
