Silicone Water-Guard® Water Repellent

A highly effective product for providing water repellency to textiles and leather, based on silicone polymers. During drying, the polymers cross-link to form a durable barrier. Thanks to its patented formula, it is unique in that it does not affect the breathability of membrane textiles (Gore-TEX®, Sympatex®, etc.). Compared to competing products, it offers up to 30% longer-lasting protection and effectiveness.

• One application is sufficient for full effect; repeated spraying is not recommended.
• Tested on all types of natural and synthetic textiles: nylon, polyester, blends, wool, etc. It is also suitable for suede and nubuck leather.
• Does not compromise the breathability of layered materials with Gore-Tex® or other membranes.
• Improves breathability of garments and footwear.
• The water-repellent layer is completely odorless after drying.
• It causes only minimal color change on natural materials (testing recommended).
• The treated surface is resistant to salt stains and marks.
• Restores and replaces the original factory-applied silicone water repellent on leather boots.
• Uses 10 g of CO2 as propellant (leaves no carbon footprint).

Instructions for use:

Shake well before use. First, test on a small area to check for color changes (evaluate after drying). The surface must be clean and dry. Hold the can upright with the nozzle up, 15–20 cm away, and spray slowly until the surface appears evenly damp. One application is optimal. Allow the treated item to dry and cure completely before use (polymerization).

Note: Low temperatures, high humidity, or poor air circulation can extend drying and curing time up to 48 hours.

Danger: Contains hydrocarbons, C9-C11, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclic, <2% aromatics. Extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurized container – may burst if heated. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. If medical help is needed, have the container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not spray on open flame or other ignition sources. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Avoid breathing aerosols. Use only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. Wear protective goggles/face shield.

If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If you feel unwell, call a doctor. If eye irritation persists, seek medical attention. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Dispose of contents/container at a hazardous waste collection site.
