The Peltonen M95 Ranger Puukko is a robust Finnish fixed-blade knife designed for bushcraft, survival and demanding outdoor use. Its design is based on traditional Scandinavian Puukko knives and emphasises strength, reliability and practical use in the field. Thanks to its robust blade, ergonomic handle and durable sheath, it is suitable for a wide range of activities whilst out in the countryside.
The blade, measuring 145 mm in length and 4.25 mm in thickness, is made from 80CrV2 carbon steel with a hardness of 59 HRC. This steel excels in toughness, resistance to mechanical stress and good edge retention. The Sabre Grind profile leaves sufficient material on the blade to maintain its strength even during demanding tasks. Please note that carbon steel requires regular maintenance and protection against corrosion, particularly when used in damp conditions.
The ergonomically shaped handle, made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), provides a secure and comfortable grip even when wet or in cold weather. The material is wear- and impact-resistant, whilst the distinctive texture helps maintain control of the knife during precision tasks and when a firmer grip is required.
The package includes a durable composite sheath with the EasyLock system, which securely locks the knife to prevent accidental deployment. The locking mechanism also allows the knife to be drawn quickly with one hand. The sheath is compatible with the MOLLE/PALS system and, thanks to a Velcro fastening loop, can be attached to a belt, rucksack or tactical vest. The design also allows the handle to be carried pointing downwards and is suitable for both right- and left-handers. Furthermore, the composite material withstands temperature fluctuations well.
