A simple and easily portable filter straw that removes 99% of bacteria, parasites and microplastics from water. It can handle particles as small as 0.1 microns. The straw is BPA-free and comes with a blue cord.
The filter straw uses a four-stage water purification system. The first filter layer helps remove larger mechanical particles. This is followed by a PP cotton fibre filter, which improves the water’s clarity and transparency. The third stage is a 0.1-micron hollow-fibre membrane, which effectively traps bacteria, protozoa and microorganisms. The final stage is an activated carbon filter, which improves the taste of the water and reduces odours.
The filter straw can filter up to 5,000 litres of water. This represents the maximum service life of the hollow-fibre filter cartridge, which removes bacteria and microorganisms. Once this cartridge has reached the end of its service life, it must be replaced in order to continue using the filter straw. The service life of the activated carbon filter, which improves the taste of the water and reduces odours, is approximately 100 litres. Both of these filter cartridges are replaceable. The average water flow rate when using the filter is approximately 500 ml per minute.
After use, the filter can be easily cleaned with clean water; simply spray it into the filter straw in the opposite direction to the flow of water.
For ease of use, the filter features a universal bottle thread (with a 28 mm neck diameter), a wrist strap and caps to seal the filter’s inlet and outlet. The filter straw is made from a durable, BPA-free polymer.
