The 43rd Airborne Regiment was formed on 1 October 2020 through the expansion of the 43rd Airborne Battalion. The history of the Chrudim paratroopers dates back to 1987, when the 71st Assault Parachute Battalion was formed here. The patch thus commemorates the unit’s tradition, which is linked to the Czech Airborne Forces.
