Original rucksack from the Turkish Army, in very good condition. The rucksacks are practically new, but show signs of prolonged storage – slightly worn fabric, slightly scuffed frame, etc.
A Turkish rucksack based on the legendary American ALICE Medium model. The main compartment is closed by a wide flap with two straps and a drawstring fastening with a stopper. The flap is double-layered and forms a flat document pocket fastened with Velcro. Three external pockets on the front close with flaps secured by straps with press studs. Above these pockets is a 5 cm horizontal strap for attaching accessories using ALICE clips. Unlike the American original, the sides feature double, top-opening pockets (suitable for a water bottle, for example) with a drawstring and stopper. Inside the main compartment, there is a compartment for a radio or other equipment. Wide loops at the base of the rucksack allow the equipment straps to be threaded through.
As with the original, the back of the rucksack is padded only at the top, which forms a pocket to secure the aluminium external frame. The rucksack can also be used without the frame; the shoulder straps and hip belt can be attached directly to the rucksack using metal loops. The padded shoulder straps are fitted with buckles for quick release and can be detached on one side.
