Multipurpose tarpaulin for the German Army’s Special Forces (BW), made from a three-layer laminate.
The material is breathable, water-resistant and features infrared protection in accordance with TL 8305-0290. The tarpaulin has 16 fixing eyelets around the perimeter and 3 in the centre, made from robust fabric.
These tarpaulins, or ‘bash’, are suitable for constructing camouflaged bivouacs or observation posts, sealing shelters against rain from above, as simple protection against wind, rain and sun in the form of a sloping or pointed roof, as a sleeping bag cover, or simply for covering and camouflaging equipment. The possibilities for use are virtually unlimited. A ‘baša’ can be easily erected between trees or bushes using numerous attachment points, either with bungee cords (elastic cords with hooks) or ropes.
