The AB Kabano Boonie IRR is a lightweight tactical boonie hat designed for professional users requiring reduced visibility, comfort and a versatile configuration. The ergonomic design combines 50/50 NyCo fabric in accordance with MIL-DTL-44436B, IRR elements and a modular fastening system. The Climate Control Design promotes airflow and reduces heat build-up during prolonged use.
The 50/50 NyCo fabric offers high abrasion resistance, good dimensional stability, reduced noise and integrated IRR properties for long-term reduction of the infrared signature. The adjustable brim with integrated wire reinforcement allows the shape and degree of visual coverage to be customised. Velcro panels in accordance with A-A-55126 and the Micro MOLLE IRR system enable the attachment of camouflage materials, identification patches and other equipment.
Inside, there is a storage pocket for maps, documents or flat items of equipment. The cap is compatible with the AB Skelm face-masking module, and the pack also includes IRR camouflage material for customisation and a mesh pouch for transport and storage.
