The second generation of ZEPHYR professional service boots builds on the exceptional qualities of its predecessor while adding several major improvements. Among the most important are the lace lock, the integrated lace sleeve in the tongue and the shifted stitching of the upper, which makes the upper more resistant to the stresses of regular wear. The MID version is a great compromise between lower weight and improved ankle support. The boots are certified as full work boots according to EN ISO 20347:2012. The ZEPHYR range was created primarily for use by skydivers, but its balanced features and premium materials make it the perfect choice for all discerning users, whether they are duty professionals, airsoft players or enthusiastic hikers looking for comfortable and reliable footwear for years of use.
The upper is made of water-repellent and tear-resistant suede and abrasion-resistant Cordura nylon. The waterproofness of the boots is ensured by the time-tested GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane, which also offers superior breathability to maximize comfort in moderately humid climates or during physically demanding activities. The midsole is dual-layer, polyurethane and reinforced with a Monowrap frame. With this technology, the midsole is embedded in the polyurethane, which also forms the external protective elements on the shoe that are so characteristic of the LOWA brand. In addition, Monowrap perfectly encases and supports the foot in movement.
The lacing of the shoe is dual-zone, the forefoot and upper can be separately tightened to your own preference. The hooks of the laces are hidden so that they do not catch, for example, the parachute cord when jumping.
The LOWA® X-TRAC MILITARY sole meets the highest SRC anti-slip standard, has anti-static properties, insulates well and is resistant to contact heat, oils, gasoline and other chemicals. In addition, it insulates perfectly against heat and cold.
