ESP button Baton 51cm/20" Anti Slip Handle ExBTT-20H COYOTE
You can open this baton with a quick flick of the handle into open
space, or by pulling the tip to extend the telescopic tubes. The locking
mechanism securely holds the baton in the open position.
The best feature of this baton is its closing mechanism. By pressing the
button at the end of the handle and applying slight pressure to the tip of
the baton, the lock is released. The tubes can then be easily retracted
into the handle. It doesn’t matter how forcefully you open the baton –
you’ll always be able to close it comfortably and effortlessly. You don’t
need to look for a hard, solid surface, which is typically required to
close a Friction Lock baton.
The baton can only be closed using the button at the end of the handle.
Hitting it against a surface will not close it and may even cause damage.
In drop tests, the baton was dropped from 2 meters onto concrete (German
regulations require wood, which is softer) and could still be closed
without issue. We opened and closed the baton 6,000 times, and the locking
mechanism continued to function properly. The quality of the locking
mechanism was also tested through repeated drops into mud.
Rotating Holster Supplied with the Baton
This baton is supplied with a BHT-55 type rotating holster. This plastic
holster allows for automatic extension of the telescopic tubes as you draw
the baton. The tip of the baton is held in place inside the holster, and
the baton begins to extend automatically. This means you pull out an
already extended baton, saving you valuable time in critical situations.
If you prefer to disable this auto-opening feature, you can remove the
locking base from the holster. Simply unscrew the two screws on the back
of the holster to remove it. In that case, you will draw the baton in its
collapsed state.
Thanks to the UBC-05-A belt clip, the holster can be rotated a full 360
degrees without using tools (it has 16 locking positions). And that’s not
all it offers.
UBC-05-A Belt Clip (Quick Change)
The holster uses a universal UBC-05-A belt clip, which allows for quick
replacement of different ESP plastic or nylon holsters with a rotating
mechanism. The belt clip stays on the belt – only the holster itself is
swapped out. This flexible system lets you quickly adapt your gear as
needed. For example, you can easily switch a magazine pouch for a baton
holster or flashlight holder. When doing paperwork, an officer can simply
remove gear that’s not currently needed. The belt is threaded through an
opening in the clip body. The holster slides into the clip and locks into
place with a locking mechanism. The clip can be adjusted to fit belt
widths from 38 mm to 68 mm using an adjustable stop secured with two
screws.
