Czech Army ECWCS Pants 2010 vz.95
Original trousers used by the Army of the Czech Republic.
Among the popular gear components in the Army of the Czech Republic is the camouflage clothing for adverse weather conditions, the parts of which are designated by the abbreviation ECWCS (from English "Extended Cold Weather Clothing System"). This camouflage clothing is intended for extreme climatic conditions, protects the user against water up to 8 atm, wind, and dust. The material is breathable – it allows water vapor to escape from the user while retaining dry heat, thus ensuring suitable climatic conditions inside the clothing. All seams are sealed with welding tape to ensure the necessary impermeability in stitched and sewn areas. The quality of the clothing has been tested in all climate zones of the world. Even though it is a product made using a complex manufacturing technology, minor damage to the special fabric can be repaired by the user using standard repair kits. Considering the price of the garment, it's useful to know about this option.

The laminated materials with a climate membrane from which this gear component is made are highly resistant to a number of chemicals, and also resistant to water pressure, tension, and abrasion. The climate membrane is sensitive to damage by sharp objects (needles, pins, sharp stones, sharp branches, needles, including sewing or pinning any accessories to the garment). Puncturing the laminated fabric (climate membrane) compromises its waterproofness.
The inner side must be protected from mechanical debris. Before storing the trousers, it is always necessary to clean mechanical debris (sand, mud chunks, needles, etc.) from the surface by shaking out, rinsing, or using a soft brush.
Size marking follows the AČR (Army of the Czech Republic) military specification. The first number indicates body height in cm. The second number indicates waist circumference in cm.
