ESS Land Ops are protective glasses with excellent anti-fog properties, designed specifically for soldiers on ground operations. These glasses are the only type authorised by the US Army as protective tactical glasses with prescription inserts.
The glasses feature lenses protected by a ClearZone FC anti-scratch and anti-fog coating. All ESS protective lenses comply with the NATO standard for ballistic resistance (cal.22 MIL-V-43511C). All lenses provide 100% protection against UVA/UVB radiation and ensure 100% transparency without distorting the field of vision. Thanks to ESS Modular Technology, replacement lenses are cost-effective and easily interchangeable. The 40mm-wide headband allows for quick fastening or removal of the goggles. The goggles are supplied with a very soft lining that comes into contact with the skin. This lining ensures increased comfort and exceptional sweat absorption.
The fully ventilated frame ensures maximum ventilation through natural airflow, thereby enhancing protection against fogging and filtering out airborne debris. The goggles provide improved peripheral vision. They can be used in conjunction with standard prescription glasses. Available with or without the Stealth Sleeve, which protects the goggles when not in use and, when worn over a helmet, prevents unwanted glare that could lead to the user being identified. The Striker Rx Insert for prescription lenses can be supplied with the goggles; this is installed inside the goggles.
