UBACS (Under Body Armour Combat Shirt) is a tactical shirt designed to be
worn under body armor. While the sleeves offer the same functional
features as a regular camouflage uniform – enhanced with practical and
easily accessible upper arm pockets – the torso section is made of
breathable, moisture-wicking material that improves thermoregulation,
absorbs sweat, and prevents the formation of a microclimate between the
wearer’s body and the fabric.
Developed following the British model but adapted to Czech combat
experience. Until now, Czech soldiers lacked such gear and often had to
use foreign UBACS shirts during missions abroad – most commonly British
ones due to the similarity in camouflage patterns. From the very beginning
of production, feedback from Czech soldiers was taken into account. The
prototype series was reviewed and tested by members of a certain special
forces unit from Prostějov :-) Compared to the British design, the Czech
version includes many small improvements. The first units have already
been deployed in combat in Afghanistan with members of the 601st Special
Forces Group and the 3rd OMLT.
