The Peltonen M95 Ranger N690 is a robust Finnish fixed-blade knife designed for bushcraft, survival and demanding outdoor use. Its design is based on the experience of Juha-Pekka Peltonen, a former officer in the Finnish Armed Forces, who originally developed the knife for military use. The M95 model combines traditional Scandinavian design with durable materials and practical features for everyday work in the field.
The blade, measuring 150 mm in length and 4 mm in thickness, is made from high-quality Böhler N690 stainless steel with a hardness of 59 HRC. This steel offers high wear resistance, good edge retention and corrosion resistance, whilst being relatively easy to resharpen if necessary. The blade has no additional surface treatment and, thanks to its robust construction, is suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities.
The ergonomically shaped handle, made from black thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), provides a secure and comfortable grip even when wet or in cold weather. The non-slip surface helps maintain control of the knife during precision tasks and when working in situations requiring a firmer grip.
The package includes a durable composite sheath with the EasyLock system, which securely locks the knife in place to prevent accidental deployment. The sheath is compatible with the MOLLE system and can be attached to a belt, rucksack or tactical gear. It is designed for both right- and left-handed users and offers high resistance to temperature fluctuations. The knife is manufactured in Finland.
