US WOODLAND sleeping bag cover – second-hand (damaged coating)

Soldiers in the current US armed forces are frequently deployed around the world as part of a wide variety of operations and exercises. The problem of sleeping in field conditions under a wide range of climatic conditions is then solved with the help of the modular ECWCS Sleeping System sleeping bag system.

The Gore-Tex BIVI bag – also known as a ‘bivvy’ – made from a Gore-Tex® membrane, protects the other parts of the system from water, snow and moisture. Thanks to the membrane technology, water cannot penetrate the fabric, whilst water vapour molecules from the inside can escape. In warm climates (up to 15 °C) or in emergency situations, it can be used as a stand-alone sleeping bag. The outer side features a woodland camouflage print, the underside is olive green. Fastened with a zip covered by a flap secured with metal press studs. Connects to other components of the system using metal press studs. All seams are taped with Gore-Tex tape.
