Berghaus backpack MUNRO II IR 35L GREY OLIVE

Are you looking for a simple backpack that will literally last you a lifetime? Do you dislike the overcomplicated and often impractical design of modern tacticool backpacks? The Berghaus Munro backpack is exactly the right solution.

Don’t look for MOLLE webbing, dozens of small pockets and pouches, or a “super-miraculous” back system. What we offer instead is uncompromising build quality, extremely durable 1000D Armadura material, and comfortable shoulder straps. With this model, more than with others, the sayings “simplicity is strength” or “less is sometimes more” truly apply. Compared to the classic MUNRO backpack, the IR version is improved with a material treatment that makes it less visible to most night vision devices operating in the IR spectrum.

The Munro backpack has been part of the equipment of several NATO armies for many years, including the German Bundeswehr and the British Army. It has become so popular among soldiers that they often use it in civilian life for everyday carry.

  • very comfortable shoulder straps
  • 4 attachment points for additional accessories with integrated elastic cord
  • hip belt with patented BergBuckle
  • small zippered pocket in the lid
  • reduced visibility in the IR spectrum
  • dimensions: 52 × 30 × 18 cm
  • weight: approx. 1 kg

Berghaus

In 1966, two English climbers founded a specialist outdoor equipment store called LD Mountain Centre. Over time, under the brand Berghaus (a German translation of Mountain Centre), they began designing, testing, and selling their own gear based on the real needs of climbers. To this day, the brand remains among the absolute leaders in outdoor equipment manufacturing.

For military enthusiasts, Berghaus is known as a major supplier of military backpacks. The first backpacks for the British Army were designed and delivered during the Falklands War, and today Berghaus backpacks can be found in the equipment of other countries’ armies as well — including Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Norway.

Berghaus continuously innovates and develops new models while always maintaining a simple and functional military design. Each product first undergoes prototype testing with military units, and only after incorporating feedback gained from real-world experience does it go into mass production.
