Helikon-Tex® jacket SAS SMOCK DuraCanvas® EARTH BROWN
The jacket has a very pleasant and sophisticated design, which is loosely based on the jackets used mainly by the British SAS (Special Air Service). Its concept fits in Helikon's offer between the heavier but more sophisticated PILGRIM anorak and the lighter WOODSMAN windbreaker. A patented DuraCanvas® material has been used to make the jacket, which can be coated to improve its protection against light rain and snow.
The fastening of the jacket is designed with a central two-way zipper. The hood of the jacket is quite deep and adjustable in size at the back and at the collar area. To store small equipment and valuables, the jacket has a total of eight pockets. A pair of chest pockets are closed by flaps with sturdy Canadian-style buttons. Below these pockets you will find another pair of flat pockets accessed through zippers with chunky snap closures. The lower pouch pockets are quite roomy, also accessible through flaps with buttons. The last pair of pockets are located under the lower pouch pockets. To improve temperature regulation, the jacket has zippers in the armpits for easy ventilation. The sleeve cuffs can be adjusted with Velcro straps, and the waist circumference is regulated by a cord with a plastic stopper.
