WILEY X replacement lenses for XL-1 ADVANCED COMM glasses ORANGE

Replacement lenses for XL-1 ADVANCED COMM glasses.

The light rust-coloured lenses filter out most blue light (HEV), which is the main cause of glare and fogging. They enhance contrast in medium to low light conditions, making them ideal for a range of outdoor and indoor activities. 100% protection against UVA/UVB radiation.

All lenses from the Wiley X brand feature the patented T-Shell™ coating. This coating prevents accidental damage to the lenses. When you choose Wiley X glasses, you not only get lenses made from top-quality materials, but also a premium finish that ensures a long service life for your product.

All glasses from the Wiley X range come with lenses made from Selenite™ polycarbonate, whose structure consists of carbon and phenol atoms. These lenses offer up to ten times greater durability than standard glass lenses, whilst remaining lighter in weight. The reliability and, above all, the safety of the lenses are certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Despite their strength and weight, the lenses do not cause image distortion or reduce optical accuracy.

Wiley X brand spectacles lenses are coated with a premium Anti-Fog coating, which enhances the spectacles’ resistance to fogging. Fogging occurs during rapid transitions between cold and warm air, as well as due to high humidity arising , for example, during strenuous physical activity. The Anti-Fog coating on the glasses and its effectiveness can be restored or enhanced by applying a suitable spray product.

The safety standard ANSI Z87.1 sets a clear standard for eye protection when wearing sunglasses. This standard is defined by the American National Standards Institute. ANSI Z87.1 tests examine the mechanical resistance of the glasses and their protection against UV radiation according to very strict criteria.

Wiley X glasses that meet this standard are tested for impact from a high-speed steel projectile with a diameter of 6.35 mm travelling at a speed of 164.6 km/h, and for impact from a 500 g pointed cone dropped from a height of 127 cm.

Compliance with the standard EN.166F means that the glasses withstand, without damage, an impact from a steel ball 6 mm in diameter and weighing 0.86 g at a speed of 162 km/h from a distance of 1.3 m. To pass the test, the lens must remain firmly in the frame and the frame itself must remain undamaged.

A ballistic standard covering the Military Combat Eye Protection (MCEP) system. Compliance with this standard guarantees eye protection against ballistic fragmentation, electromagnetic radiation and sand. Goggles meeting this standard must withstand impact from a .15 calibre projectile travelling at a speed of 768–796 km/h. Goggles meeting this standard are commonly used by most NATO armies.
