AGRECO was an experimental camouflage pattern developed in the 1980s for the needs of the Czechoslovak People’s Army. It was an attempt to modernise the equipment of the time and to find a universal camouflage suitable for various types of terrain.
The pattern combined irregular organic shapes and contrasting colours, which were intended to ensure better disruption of a soldier’s silhouette in both forest and mixed terrain. AGRECO never entered mass production – it remained only at the prototype and trial production stage.
Today, AGRECO is particularly prized among collectors, re-enactors and military history enthusiasts. The retro motif inspired by this pattern is therefore popular for themed clothing and accessories.
