WX Alpine are high-performance sports and tactical glasses designed for demanding conditions. The lightweight yet extremely durable polymer frame ensures high strength without unnecessary added weight. The non-slip nose bridge and temples stay firmly in place even during sweating and intense movement. Venturi Suction technology promotes airflow and reduces fogging during sport or fieldwork. Extra-strong 2.5 mm ballistic lenses meet the MIL-PRF-32432A military standard, protecting against impact, scratches and UV radiation.

The frame is made from durable Triloid™ nylon, which ranks among the strongest non-metallic materials used in eyewear manufacturing. The lenses are made from premium Selenite™polycarbonate. This material does not shatter upon impact and also features a T-SHELL™ coating to protect against unwanted scratches.

CAPTIVATE™ lens technology redefines what you can expect from sunglasses. At the heart of this technology is a filter that removes harmful light, enhances colours and contrast, and increases clarity. CAPTIVATE™ lenses also filter out optical haze and saturate colours, leading to much better perception of space and depth. CAPTIVATE™ eliminates harmful UV and HEV radiation, which causes macular degeneration and cataracts.

The anti-reflective coating eliminates distracting light reflections on the back surface of the lenses and ensures that light is not reflected back into the eyes, distorting your vision. Lenses with an anti-reflective coating reduce glare and not only provide you with greater comfort and clearer vision, but also ensure optimal conditions for your polarising filter.

All Wiley X lenses feature the patented T-Shell™coating. This coating prevents unwanted damage to the lenses. When you choose Wiley X glasses, you get not only lenses made from top-quality materials, but also a premium finish that ensures the long life of your product.

The oleophobic coating is a protective layer against smudges. Applying this layer gives you lenses with a much smoother surface, which helps prevent dust, oil, dirt and water from sticking to the lenses. Ultimately, this prevents smudges and water spots from forming on the lenses, making them easier to clean and allowing you to maintain a clean surface and perfect visibility for longer.

All Wiley X glasses come with lenses made from Selenite™ polycarbonate, whose structure consists of carbon and phenol atoms. These lenses offer up to ten times greater durability than standard glass lenses, whilst remaining lighter in weight. The reliability and, above all, the safety of the lenses are certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Despite their strength and weight, the lenses do not cause image distortion or reduce optical accuracy.

The ANSI Z87.1 safety standard sets a clear benchmark for eye protection when wearing sunglasses. This standard is defined by the American National Standards Institute. ANSI Z87.1 tests examine the mechanical resistance of the glasses and their protection against UV radiation according to very strict criteria.

Wiley X glasses, which meet this standard, are tested against the impact of a high-speed steel projectile with a diameter of 6.35 mm travelling at 164.6 km/h and the impact of a 500 g pointed cone dropped from a height of 127 cm.

A ballistic standard covering the Military Combat Eye Protection (MCEP) system. Compliance with this standard guarantees eye protection against ballistic fragmentation, electromagnetic radiation and sand. Glasses meeting this standard must withstand impact from a .15 calibre projectile travelling at 768–796 km/h. Glasses meeting this standard are commonly used by most NATO armies.

ISO 12312-1 is a standard setting out clear safety requirements for protection against potentially harmful sunlight during everyday wear and when driving a motor vehicle. ISO 12312-1 is one of the standards which, upon compliance, allows the use of the CE mark for use in EU countries.

Lenses designed for use on slightly overcast days. They minimise the effect of blue (HEV) light reflected from white and blue objects. They enhance the vibrancy of green, orange and blue colours and reduce unwanted glare from reflective surfaces. A pleasant bonus is improved depth perception of objects underwater. 100% protection against UVA and UVB.
