Stylish outdoor glasses that meet several ballistic standards. Their key advantage and distinguishing feature are removable side shields that protect your peripheral vision. The side shields can also be permanently attached to the glasses, in which case the glasses as a whole meet EN.166F certification. Please note that once permanently installed, the side shields cannot be removed without damaging the frame.

This version of the glasses features polarised lenses with premium CAPTIVATE™ technology.

The slightly curved frame is made of durable Triloid™ nylon, one of the strongest non-metallic materials used in eyewear manufacturing. The lenses are made from premium Selenite™ polycarbonate material. This does not shatter on impact and also features a T-SHELL™ coating to protect against accidental scratches.

CAPTIVATE™ lens technology redefines what you can expect from sunglasses. At the heart of this technology is a filter that removes harmful light, improves colours and contrast, and increases clarity. CAPTIVATE™ lenses also filter out optical haze and saturate colours, resulting in much better perception of space and depth. CAPTIVATE™ eliminates harmful UV and HEV radiation, which causes macular degeneration and cataracts.

The anti-reflective coating eliminates distracting light reflections on the back surface of the lenses and ensures that light is not reflected back into the eyes and distorts vision. Lenses with an anti-reflective coating reduce blurring and not only provide you with greater comfort and clearer vision, but also ensure optimal conditions for your polarising filter.

All Wiley X lenses feature a patented T-Shell™ coating. This coating prevents unwanted damage to the lenses. When you choose Wiley X glasses, you not only get lenses made from premium materials, but also a premium finish that ensures the longevity of your product.

The oleophobic coating is a protective layer against smudges. Applying this layer gives you lenses with a much smoother surface that helps prevent dust, oil, dirt and water from sticking to the lenses. Ultimately, this prevents smudges and water spots from forming on the lenses, making them easier to clean and allowing you to maintain a clean surface and perfect visibility for longer.

All Wiley X glasses come with lenses made from Selenite™ polycarbonate, which is made up of carbon and phenol atoms. These lenses offer up to ten times the strength of standard glass lenses while remaining lighter in weight. The reliability and, above all, the safety of the lenses are certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Despite their strength and weight, the lenses do not cause image distortion or reduce optical accuracy.

The ANSI Z87.1 safety standard sets a clear standard for eye protection when wearing sunglasses. This standard is defined by the American National Standards Institute. ANSI Z87.1 tests examine the mechanical resistance of glasses and their protection against UV radiation according to very strict criteria.

Wiley X glasses that meet this standard are tested by impact from a high-speed steel projectile with a diameter of 6.35 mm at a speed of 164.6 km/h and impact from a 500 g pointed cone from a height of 127 cm.

Compliance with EN.166F means that the glasses will survive without damage when hit by a steel ball with a diameter of 6 mm and a weight of 0.86 g at a speed of 162 km/h from a distance of 1.3 m. To pass the test, the lens must remain firmly in the frame and the frame itself must remain undamaged.

These lenses feature natural colours that look almost like you're not wearing glasses. They perfectly balance the light spectrum, which helps light enter the eye evenly. The added polarisation filter eliminates glare, not only from water surfaces. These lenses are the perfect choice for sunny days outdoors, fishing or driving. They filter blue light (HEV). 100% protection against UVA and UVB. Light transmission approx. 13%.
