Stylish shooting sunglasses with a slightly curved frame. Their key advantage and distinguishing feature is the removable side shields that protect your peripheral vision. The side shields can also be permanently attached to the glasses, in which case the glasses as a whole meet EN.166S certification. Please note that once permanently installed, the side shields cannot be removed without damaging the frame. The arms of the glasses are equipped with a non-slip segment ensuring maximum grip in dynamic situations.

The frame is made of durable Triloid™ nylon, which is one of the strongest non-metallic materials used in the manufacture of glasses. The lenses are made of premium Selenite™polycarbonate material. This material does not shatter when struck by a projectile and also features a T-SHELL™ coating that protects against unwanted scratches.

The oleophobic coating is a protective layer against smudges. Applying this layer gives you lenses with a much smoother surface, which helps prevent dust, oil, dirt and water from sticking to the lenses. Ultimately, this prevents smudges and water spots from forming on the lenses, making them easier to clean and allowing you to maintain a clean surface and perfect visibility for longer.

All Wiley X glasses come with lenses made of Selenite™ polycarbonate, whose structure is composed of carbon and phenol atoms. These lenses offer up to ten times the durability of standard glass lenses, while maintaining a lower weight. The reliability and, above all, the safety of the lenses are certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Despite their strength and weight, the lenses do not distort the image or reduce optical accuracy.

The ANSI Z87.1 safety standard sets a clear standard for eye protection when wearing sunglasses. This standard is defined by the American National Standards Institute. ANSI Z87.1 tests examine the mechanical resistance of glasses and their protection against UV radiation according to very strict criteria.

Wiley X glasses, which boast this standard, are tested by impact with a high-speed steel projectile with a diameter of 6.35 mm at a speed of 164.6 km/h and impact with a 500 g pointed cone from a height of 127 cm.

Compliance with the EN.166S standard means that the glasses will withstand without damage the impact of a steel ball with a diameter of 22 mm and a weight of 43 g at a speed of 18 km/h and from a distance of 1.3 m. To pass the test, the lens must remain firmly in the frame and the frame itself must remain undamaged.
