WILEY X replacement lens for WX CITADEL glasses SMOKED

Replacement lenses for WX CITADEL sunglasses.

The grey lenses absorb all colours evenly, thereby maintaining the same colour perception as without sunglasses. They are ideal in bright light, ensure maximum glare reduction and are perfectly suited to all outdoor activities in bright conditions. 100% protection against UVA/UVB radiation.

All lenses from the Wiley X brand feature the patented T-Shell™ coating. This coating prevents accidental damage to the lenses. When you choose Wiley X sunglasses, you not only get lenses made from top-quality materials, but also a premium finish that ensures a long service life for your product.

All glasses from the Wiley X range come with lenses made from Selenite™ polycarbonate, whose structure consists of carbon and phenol atoms. These lenses offer up to ten times greater durability than standard glass lenses, whilst remaining lighter in weight. The reliability and, above all, the safety of the lenses are certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Despite their strength and weight, the lenses do not cause image distortion or reduce optical accuracy.

The safety standard ANSI Z87.1 sets a clear standard for eye protection when wearing sunglasses. This standard is defined by the American National Standards Institute. ANSI Z87.1 tests examine the mechanical resistance of the glasses and their protection against UV radiation according to very strict criteria.

Wiley X glasses that meet this standard are tested against the impact of a high-speed steel projectile with a diameter of 6.35 mm travelling at a speed of 164.6 km/h, and against the impact of a 500 g pointed cone dropped from a height of 127 cm.

ISO 12312-1 is a standard setting out clear safety requirements for protection against potentially harmful solar rays during normal wear and whilst driving a motor vehicle. ISO 12312-1 is one of the standards which, once met, allows the use of the CE mark for use in EU countries.

The lenses of Wiley X brand glasses are coated with a premium Anti-Fog coating, which enhances the glasses’ resistance to fogging. Fogging occurs during rapid transitions between cold and warm air, as well as due to high humidity caused , for example, during strenuous physical activity. The Anti-Fog coating on the glasses and its effectiveness can be restored or enhanced by applying a suitable spray product.

A ballistic standard covering the military combat eye protection system (MCEP). Compliance with this standard guarantees eye protection against ballistic fragmentation, electromagnetic radiation and sand. Goggles complying with this standard must withstand impact from a .15 calibre projectile travelling at a speed of 768–796 km/h. Goggles meeting this standard are commonly used by most NATO armies.
